Promusica Baroque Academy
An academic and professional early-music orchestra founded in December 2020. Composed of young period-instrument players active in Japan and abroad, both of its presented concerts in 2021—“Bunmei Kaika” and “Messiah”—were warmly received. In the 2022–2023 season it continues to expand its activities with three presented concerts, lectures on early Baroque vocal music, and guest appearances (including Suntory Hall Blue Rose). Collaborations with choruses such as the Yokohama Choral Society and Collegium Vocale Purafonte are also planned. A rising early-music ensemble working hard to lead Japan’s early-music scene.
