Aki Matsui Afternoon Concert Series vol.4 Baroque Concert
Soprano : Aki Matsui
Harpsichord : Toshiki Tsumuraya
Program
Come to the concert as you would step into your favorite café♪
Volume 4 presents a selection of Baroque masterpieces for soprano and harpsichord. Soprano Aki Matsui has appeared as a soloist in many concerts and recordings with the internationally acclaimed early-music ensemble Bach Collegium Japan, but this is her first recital with harpsichord alone. Baroque music spun with Toshiki Tsumuraya, an unusual harpsichordist who switched from the vocal to the harpsichord department at Tokyo University of the Arts. In one hour on a weekday afternoon, enjoy Baroque music from many angles: the sweet, flowing French Baroque; the dignified yet approachable English Baroque; the warm, deep German Baroque; and the endlessly varied Italian Baroque.
